Essay on "Chemistry Around Us"
Every day we wash our faces, brush our teeth, light the gas, cook our food, wash our clothes, and do many other everyday things without thinking that they are based on chemical processes. Even [link removed] in order to breathe, we need oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This would also be impossible without certain chemical reactions going on inside the human body.
Working with test tubes, flasks, and a torch in chemistry class, we sometimes conduct interesting experiments with unexpected results. Our life is also [link removed] very similar to the school laboratory, only instead of a test tube we use, for example, a teaspoon in which we pour some baking soda and then "quench" it with vinegar. The way the mixture hisses and foams is very similar to the effect observed when opening a can of Coca-Cola.
Chemistry is all around us wherever we go. In the store, we buy groceries and semi-finished products, the creation and packaging of which have also involved many chemical reactions. We drive cars that run on internal combustion engines. We buy [link removed] medicines in pharmacies that alter our body's physiological processes, thereby making us healthier. And finally, we dye our nails and color our hair in beauty salons.
Thus, chemistry makes our everyday life much easier and clearer, as well as contributing to our health. That is why the study of this science is a compulsory part of the school curriculum, and no matter how difficult it may be, we should all try to master it.
