Pedarattaiah Gadde hails from Gopapuram village of Bapatla District, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was born to Jaipal Gadde and Kanakaratnam Gadde. He obtained M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in anthropology from the University of Hyderabad. He founded a voluntary service agency called PEACEMAKERS in 2002. He also founded two Trusts - Global Peacemakers Fellowship and Global Peacemakers Alliance in 2011.
