Christened ‘Anna,’ Annu C Pillai was born to Sebastian and Rosy of Thrissur, Kerala. She was a teacher by profession and also the headmistress of a school until it was taken charge of by the Sisters of St. Ann. Currently residing in Kerala, where she has been settled since the early 70s, she cares for her family and is a social worker.
