Aseem Tamboli, aged 44, is a sales professional by day; employed as the Director of Sales, India for a leading software organisation. But it’s who he is beyond this, that has given birth to this book. 
He was born and brought up in a typical middle-class family in Pune and has a graduate degree in Electronics Engineering and postgraduate degrees in Marketing, one of which is from IIM, Kolkatta.
His penchant for Urdu poetry began at a very early age, with an unusual love for movie songs, especially those penned by Gulzar. He brazenly admits that a lot of his thoughts were inspired by Gulzar and Ghalib. He is also moved by the work of Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
Barah Aana Sher Chaar Aana Masnavi, his first book has been a labour of love and WIP  for four years. It is a collection of Urdu shayari, 75 shers and 25 masnavis to be precise, each one  inspired by the emotions that every one of us goes through: infatuation, love, lust, longing, separation and heartbreak. 
While Aseem admits that he too has gone through the tribulations that bind these thoughts, subconsciously connecting them together, he does not necessarily echo the wretched and morose state of mind to be his actual mental or spiritual space. Those who know him well, wholeheartedly agree, that his hearty laugh and keen sense of humour are the more dominant aspects of his personality.
