DIFFERENT FOR YOU

All the guys I dated,

they bought me red miserable roses,

but I couldn’t tell them,

that roses aren’t really my thing.

Roses smell beautiful but,

it fades away quickly.

The red colour is gorgeous,

but it doesn’t even stay for a day.

Then he came into my life,

and instead of short-spanned roses,

he gave me a bouquet of

plumeria and hibiscus.

The gentle plumeria,

gave me happiness that the roses never did.

The white and yellow colour,

filled my soul with all the joy.

The red and lovely hibiscus,

touched my eyes like silken reverie.

I just asked him how did he so perfectly know me?

He said that he has known me for centuries,

but this life was where we were meant to be together.

HE WROTE FOR ME

Unlike other love stories that come like storms,

she came into my life like a cool winter breeze.

I don’t consider her as a storm because storms destroy the town,

but as she walks into the room, I sometimes freeze.

Unlike other love stories that end like monsoon rain,

she was my mild sunny day.

I worked on myself in her warmth and brightness.

She made me grow as the sun does to the grain.

This makes me say that our love is still glowing,

like flowers savouring the breeze and the sun.

Unlike violent storms and destructive rain,

I love her and she loves me despite all hurricanes.
