Gayatri Kapoor
Gayatri Kapoor is a sixteen-year-old teenager living in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She recently passed the 10th grade at JBCN International School, Parel, where she was the only student to opt for the subject of World Literature. She has studied texts from all over the world and gained insight into poetry and prose from other cultures. 20 by 20 is her first published book. The pandemic gave her the opportunity to pen down her thoughts and feelings in a series of poems. The world has enough new of the Covid pandemic, so Gayatri decided to write about family, friends, anxiety, animals and growing up in a changing world. Family and friends are extremely important to her, so she used her frustration and anxiety about covid, lockdown and isolation from human contact, and channelled it into writing poetry. Gayatri immensely enjoys travelling, swimming and reading.
