This story is about the big group known as “Almighty Emeralds” of Birla College, Kalyan, where the events unfold between the years 1994 to 1999.
The bylanes of Kalyan, a dormitory town on the outskirts of Central Mumbai, stood witness to all the fun, frolic and the roller coaster lives of these collegians.

Sundar Iyer, was born in Kerala and brought up in Kalyan. After completing his graduation from Birla College, Kalyan, he pursued his post graduation studies in Advertising and completed his Masters in Business Administration. Once out of Birla College, all through his Post graduation studies and his work life, he carried along with him the memories of good old college days. While he was posted in South India’s leading publication house, the idea of this book dawned upon him in the year 2015.
At the age of 36, Sundar took early retirement from his first and last job, which he held close to his heart for fifteen years. This enabled him to pursue his new found passion in writing and also start chasing his dream of becoming an entrepreneur. He has 400+ poems to his credit which has been published in YOUR QUOTE app. His first book, a collection of few select poems, “Terpsichore - The dance of life” was published in 2019 and is now available on Amazon.
