Siddhartha Bhasker developed an interest in literature during his college days and started his journey through blogging. He published a short story Pasta Lane in the best-selling short story collection Urban Shots: Crossroads. After that, he published a collection of short stories Chokaro Tol: 5 Mystical Stories From A Jungle Town Of India as an e-book on Amazon. The magical realism of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s novels and the stark realities of Premchand and Phanishwar Nath Renu’s world made him realize the treasure one’s past and experiences of daily life held. Since then he has read and written regularly. The story of B Ground West developed in Mumbai. He wrote the novel after quitting his job at a consultancy firm. The period of writing the first draft was engaging. At present he resides at Ahmedabad pursuing his PhD in Economics. He is currently writing his second novel.
