There are amongst the poems two short stories: “Jellybeans,” which humorously describes her hardship at school and how the world of movies helped her to create a parallel reality; the second “Declaration of Love” is an unapologetic homage to Hollywood classics.
From themes that range across spirituality, music, commercialism, love, courage, and childhood, she hopes to touch you with her writing and, somehow, encourage stargazing.

Claudia Impey was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. For the past 23 years, she has lived in Dubai, Mumbai, and now in London.
Her passion for literature, music, and cinema inspire her, hence this collection. She calls this debut her gentle indulgence, as it is a brief manuscript.
Claudia is not comfortable being clearly defined—she feels that—in the words of Fernando Sabino: “it is sublime to be lost.”
