The author, Surendra Prasad Thakur, is a resident of village - Brahmotra; P.O. – Pandaul – 847234, Dist - Madhubani (Bihar). He retired from service as a university professor cum principal. He had the privilege of acting as the Dean and as a member of the Senate, Syndicate, and Academic Council of L. N. Mithila University, Darbhanga (Bihar). After superannuation he rendered his service to the Nalanda Open University, Patna for seven years as coordinator.
Preceding this book, he has authored eight books which have been published by reputed publishers. Around Seventy ‘Articles’ stand to his credit which have been published in widely circulated newspapers, magazines, journals and edited volumes.
The author has attended several academic conferences and seminars of university and national levels. The Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi, sanctioned him study grant for doctoral research and publication grant towards the publication of his doctoral thesis. He has the distinction of getting the ‘Middle Award’ grant from the American Studies Research Center, Hyderabad in connection with his post-doctoral research work.
The author has rich experience in the field of supervising and guiding research work for Ph.D degree. A dozen scholars have been awarded Ph.D degree under his supervision and guidance.
