Anand Sampathkumar
Anand is an early bird technology professional. Starting his career from the pre-PC era as a Data Entry Operator cum Trainee Programmer, he has grown up the ladder to lead projects, across geographies. He has also been an entrepreneur pioneering a unique concept.
Anand initiated himself into Data Management when he started as the Head of Reference Data Center of Excellence for a global bank in 2012. Since then, his focus on data management has been abundantly hands-on and deep. He had opportunities to lead the Reference Data for Financial Markets, Securities Services, and Private Bank; also Head the bank-wise Metadata for another global bank. He is now managing Data Protection Projects for the wealth management business of a European Bank. He had also briefly managed Data Governance for the Asian Telecommunication giant.
Anand's experience in managing data, delivering data quality, and observing various approaches to deliver has enthused him to write this book.
Anand is a curious learner of emerging concepts and as he digs deep into the effectiveness of data management, he is also reading on Sustainability and Climate Risk.
Data Delivers Dollars is Anand's first book, though he has pioneered in-house journals in various companies he worked for. He further delivers occasional video blogs to share his perspectives on a topic. Anand believes that knowledge sharing is the best gift a human can give.
Besides data, Anand's other interests are working on simplifying complex processes and reading deep into Vishishtadvaita.
