Dr. Kamala Viswanathan, writer of this book was born and brought up in Bareilly, UP. She got her doctorate from Madras University. A prolific writer in Hindi and English, she has written novels, short stories and school textbooks in Hindi. She has translated technical books, medical books, short stories, novels and several other books from Tamil and English to Hindi. She has been awarded by several clubs for her translation. She retired as Hindi Professor from Stella Maris College in the year 2004. She is a professional counsellor and a certified hypnotherapist. She resides in Chennai.
