En Route is an academic piece of writing which attempts to theorize the concept of the Probashi phenomenon within the context of South Asian Migration. In doing so, it has set a background to the concept of Probashi wherein the issues of Migration, Postcolonial Studies, and Diaspora have been discussed at length in order to situate the identity of a Probashi. The select works of Sunil Gangopadhyay, Taslima Nasrin, and Sunanda Sikdar have also been analyzed in the light of Probashi identity. The theme of the book revolves around the philosophical and psychological aspects of identity formation amidst constant geographical dislocations and relocations.

Mitali Bhattacharya is a Research Scholar in the field of Literature and Humanities. She has completed English Honours from the University of Delhi, M.A (English) and M.Phil (English) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Main Campus, New Delhi.
