In the world of Odia novel literature, Iswar Chandra Nayak is a well known face. His birth place is village Bangurush Patna about 27 km from Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha. Being Post Graduate in Engineering and Education he has multi-faceted contributions towards the literature. He is a bilingual writer. He has translated his much talked first Odia novel PAAPA into English by himself. He has also translated some English books into Odia. Internationally his contributions include one engineering academic book and two traditional knowledge books in the field of Textile Engineering. He is also popular as a columnist of the famous news papers of Odisha and there are hundreds of articles on basic writings and contemporary issues to his credit. He has published some articles in nationally and internationally refereed journals like IJTK of NISCAIR publication, Mahila Pratistha and a number of short stories in different Odia magazines. As a best teacher and educationist, he has been awarded by the state government as well as by a number of organisations and institutions of the state. Almost all of his books bear the ongoing real life situations of the present society with attributes to attract the attention of readers.
