Born in Hadipur near Berachampa, 24 Parganas (North), West Bengal, his primary and intermediate education was in Burnpur in Burdwan District, West Bengal. He graduated from B. B. College and got his Post-graduate degrees from Kalyani University in applied mathematics both with government merit as well as mean scholarship. He began his career with teaching and simultaneously pursued research. As a result, this book was born. His first utterance of the terms ‘alphabet,’ ‘vowels,’ and ‘consonants’ in mathematical language may open a new window in Mathematical culture. The synopsis of this content was first published in their journal of University of Dhaka and Jahangirnagar University in Bangladesh in 2000, and then in State and Science Congress in 2002. He has been researching on pedagogic analysis for the last 25 years with untiring efforts to visualize the abstract facets of mathematics. This book has already been published in Bengali under the name ‘Paschimbanga Ganit Parishad.’

He wrote a book to establish social justice against a brutal rape culture propagated towards the financially weaker and marginalized people in Sutia-Gaighata, which was submitted to UNICEF by Dr. Rinita Mazumder from U.S.A for its great sense of documentation.

He has also written a good number of poetry and storybooks. He regularly writes for journals like ‘Ganit Bhabana,’ ‘Bijjan Anweshak,’ etc.

He retired as headmaster. Currently, he conducts workshops on mathematics for intermediate-level students, to remove fear of the subject from their minds.
