A gold medalist in his engineering and MBA program, a retired senior executive with more than three decades of rich manufacturing management experience, and the runners up for the “HR leadership among senior non-HR managers” award in India’s largest multinational organization, the author, V Murali, is a highly accomplished professional with extensive wisdom in management.

Born with an adventurous personality, the author in his professional career changed jobs every 3 to 4 years to avoid monotony and confront new challenges. This led him to work on a variety of assignments in 16 companies spanning the length and breadth of India. Having started as a front-line officer on the shop floor, the author ended his career as a top executive in one of India’s largest multinational organizations.

The author, who is an avid reader with interests in fiction, management, and philosophy genres, dreamt of becoming a librarian in his retired life to have unrestricted access to books. While this dream is yet to be fulfilled due to personal commitments, the author instead embarked on a new journey of writing a book to share experiences and learnings from his professional life.
