Lakhimai Mili

Dr Lakhimai Mili, MA, PGDTE and Ph. D is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English, Pondicherry University. She holds a doctorate degree in Indian Writing in English from North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, Meghalaya. At the starting of her academic career, Dr Mili had focused on writing textbook series for primary classes titled English for Buds-I-IV.  She has published a good number of articles in journals and chapters in edited books. She has taught papers such as Poetry from Chaucer to Milton, Communicative English, English as a Second Language, English for Science and Technology, Functional Written Communication, Media Studies and Indian Writing in English at Pondicherry University. She has also edited three books titled, English Literature in the Digital Era, Facets of the Millennial Reality: Critical Appraisals of the Writings of Rita Nath Keshari and  on Environment,  Ecosystems and Sustainable Development: Interdisciplinary Perspectives. She has also co-authored a book titled Counter Discourse, Identity and Sumud in Mahmoud Darwish’s Poetry.

Her other area of interests are writing stories, poems and conducting research on endangered languages and cultures.
