L’amour 2 is the second series of an assorted collection of love poetry from emerging poets across India. A broader thematic of love and romance informs all the poems in the anthology. There is nothing as ubiquitious as the emotion of love, yet nothing as beautiful and heart-rendering. It is arguably the best feeling! Just like the immeasurable aspects of the universe cannot be perceived by mere human senses, love is a sentiment which is both inexpressible and inexplicable. Hence, love can only find its barest of expression (as well as impression) in poetry! In L’amour 2 all the meanderings and manouverings of the waves of love will be explored through a collection of poetry. While some will deal with the euphoria of love, others will depict the crude pain it entails. Longing, separation and union-all of it unites and intersects to reach a pinnacle of one-ness in the poems that have been featured in this anthology. In a way, this anthology is our humble attempt to offer you a liberation from the drudgery of life. Here’s hoping that you would drench in the rain of love, drown in its waves and find a way to feel its emancipation!
Nikhil Jain And Pooja Gautam
Nikhil Jain, aged 26, is from Dhule, Maharashtra. He joined his family business and handled a supermarket and utensils shop for a year. Subsequently, he started a wholesale business of CP fittings and sanitary ware. He likes to share his knowledge with others and he's a marketing and sales trainee. He loves to travel and explore new things. He loves to write because it's the best way to express one’s feelings and his hobby is Jugaad. He has been a part of seven anthologies so far and many more are in the process of compilation. He has himself compiled four anthologies. He uses simple language in his Shayari and poetry which can be easily understood and is relatable to every human. He resumed writing due to the Covid lockdown.
Pooja Gautam is from Delhi. She has done her post-graduation in History and B.Ed. She prefers to write about the awareness of social issues related to women. Moreover, all her writings are marked with the crucial question: Where are the solutions to injustice and atrocities? She is fond of writing poems, Shayari, Ghazals, essays and articles and has also received many certificates for her writing. She is very intrigued by the performative expression of words. Three of her book compilations (Her Life's Liberty, मां - मेरे जीवन की प्रेरणा, and My Heart Hurts) are on the way to being published. Her own solo book (प्रेमार्थ) with Nikhil Jain and Anika Jain has already been published. She observes and evaluates everything very deeply. She believes that writing is related to one’s personal life and we write what we feel. The basis of our writing is our surroundings and our emotions. She is the Managing Director of Expressive modes of Blue Ink Community by which she encourages the writers to express their views in written form.
