Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalLafzon Ko Rehne Do (Give Up On Words) will take you on a journey through conversations overflowing with words often rendered meaningless, or sometimes through the heart rending hushed silence only to experience the self chosen, soul-soothing silence which offers a promise to lead one beyond their worldly existence, finally uniting the aatman with parmaatman . The book, which is a bowl of haikus(kshanikayen), displays the pattern of how, at different turns in life, words may take different roles. Words set the foundation stones of a bond or a journey. Words however, are also the boulder that might run you over. The book is not mere poetry. Lafzon Ko Rehne Do is rather an elaborate display of the power, the diversity and the vastness of the worlds of words and silence. Dr. Vibha Ray writes about the possible conflicts between what is intended to be conveyed, what is conveyed and what actually gets conveyed. Lafzon Ko Rehne Do is not just about the said and the unsaid, it is about everything between and beyond.
The English translation of the haikus, though without rhyme, has been provided not only to give an insight into Dr. Vibha Ray's interpretation of every piece that has been penned down, but also to facilitate those readers who are not well versed with, or have no knowledge of the Hindi Language.
