Dr. C. Sheeba Anitha Nesakumari

Dr. C. Sheeba Anitha Nesakumari is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Zoolog, Madras Christian College, Chennai. She holds master's and doctoral degrees in Marine Biology and Oceanography, specializing in Ornamental fish culture and breeding, Aquaculture, and Entrepreneurship development. Dr. Sheeba has qualified NET in Fisheries Science by ICAR-ASRB. Previously, she worked as a Shrimp Pathologist at SK Marine Technologies, Chennai, and as a Young Professional-II at the National Biodiversity Authority. In her credits published 18 research articles in reputed international and national journals and authored 3 book chapters. Dr. Sheeba has successfully completed two major projects funded by UBCHEA and a Seed Money Grant funded by MCC. She has organized several training programs for fishermen community in Pulicat, conducted Skill Development Programs, and provided Hands-on training for students at MCC. Notably, she established an Ornamental Fish Culture and Breeding Unit at MCC Farm and has delivered 10 lectures as a resource person in various training programs.
