Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalMilaguthanni (literally, “pepper water”, in Tamil) has always been the comfort food for the author, Dr. Vidya R. Sridhar who hails from South India. She often drinks it when she has the common cold, flu or just is not in her best of spirit. It actually brings happiness and rejuvenates her soul, hence she calls it her soul food. Similar to Milaguthanni, the author hopes that her stories bring comfort to one’s soul.
Inspired by true life experiences of women, the short stories in this book are an attempt to convey a simple message that by simple techniques of positive thinking, such as practicing gratitude, love, faith, belief, grit, perseverance, hope and visualization, one can bring about abundance and happiness in one’s life.
The stories are about women who successfully juggle their priorities and happily play the various roles of daughter, sister, friend, daughter-in-law, wife, mother or grandmother, homemaker, and career woman. The stories exemplify how positive thinking helped women overcome difficult situations and obtain bliss in their life.
This book of short stories is a beginning to many of the inspirational stories the author intends to write as part of a series under the title Milaguthanni aka Soulfood. It is her way to inspire millions that positive thinking is the secret to attracting all that is beautiful in life.
