Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWords pour during the most unexpected times—times of poetic intervention. Monsoon Flashes includes poems that are witty and sarcastic. They also look at nature and the lives of women. They have the brilliance of lightning and the romance of the setting sun; words clutter like the monsoon clouds. They will touch you like the wind on leaves but leave a mark like a cormorant on the riverside. One moves from one poem to another like a passing cloud, revealing silvery edges to show a higher poetic truth.
