The author has his basic degree in science from the University of Calcutta and completed his post graduation in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He also has an MSc in Logistics from Aston University Birmingham, UK and was admitted as Fellow by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (UK).
He has spent 40 years in the logistics industry which includes one year in surface transport, 19 years in airlines management including launch of its international operation to Singapore and 20 years as a Director in a shipping group in Singapore. On his return to India he joined Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, Bangalore and was its Director till 2009. He is currently a research scholar at Asia E University, Malaysia and visiting Professor at Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Trichy, Loyola Institute of Business Administration, Chennai, Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, Bangalore and Management Development Institute of Singapore for University of Bradford (UK) Programmes at their Tashkent campus.
His entry into academics has been with the mission to share his experiences with the young minds, meaning “the students in management schools” and help them in becoming motivated, value added and practical corporate citizens.
