Beji Jaison

Beji Jaison was born in Rawatbhata, Rajasthan in a Christian family from Kerala. Both her parents worked to make ends meet. The family later moved to Surat, Gujarat where she studied to become a pediatrician.

In this book, she takes us back and forth through different anecdotes and experiences and along the way the reader gets hooked to the story. As she ruthlessly constructs and deconstructs different impressions and instances, she paints a vivid picture of a father and a daughter. Reading the book is like watching an artist paint and later catching a glimpse of her with her dirty brushes and soiled clothes.

Beji has previously published a book of poems and paintings, Soul Graffiti.
