Dr. ALOKE V.R. DCH, MD (Ped), DM (Neonatology), is an eminent intensivist in Neonatology and Pediatrics, working as Consultant and Managing Director at NYLE Women’s and Children’s Super Specialty Hospital in Thrissur, Kerala, India. He did his MBBS and MD from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, and DM in Neonatology from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He also took training from KKH Hospital, Singapore. He has 15 years of experience in Neonatology and Pediatric Critical Care and has set up 6 NICUs in Kerala.
This book is the fruit of his relentless passion to provide a better service to his patients. Here, he questions many existing protocols. The most important one among these being the challenge he has raised against the PALS guidelines on resuscitation, which if proved correct can affect thousands and thousands of lives. In the area of the relationship of shock and brain damage also there will be enormous consequences. He also highlighted the hidden properties of vitamin D in clinical practice. This book is his maiden venture and encourages other clinicians to express their experiences and methods through the medium of books.
