Psychiatric disorders are inborn in some and others acquire in their later stages due to stress and inappropriate functioning of neurotransmitters. Dopamine and serotonin plays a major role in psychiatric related disorders. These neurotransmitters are involved in digestion process also. The proper functioning of bowel is controlled by dopamine and serotonin, if improper function leads to constipation. The melatonin is produced by the pineal gland, which is the sleep hormone that operates the sleep cycle of a person, it doesn’t function well, when the neurotransmitters are unbalanced. Regular exercise boosts the release of endorphins and it elevates the mood of a person. Proper medications with regular exercise and diets help to combat depression.
