AMIT KUMAR GOSWAMI
Born in 1947, Amit Kumar Goswami had shown penchant for creativity and adventure right from his boyhood. Aviation always attracted him. As an Air Wing NCC Cadet, he did some powered flying too. He joined the Logistics Branch of the IAF. His career in the Indian Air Force had exposed him to a huge variety of challenging tasks and adventures. He had seen action during hostility with Pakistan during the Liberation of Bangladesh Operation. A prolific storyteller, Amit Kumar Goswami enjoys writing stories to re-live those unique experiences from his vivid memories of the past.
Post retirement, as a partner of a private company, he manufactured bullet-proof and body protection jackets for the police, paramilitary and armed forces. Subsequently, he served abroad as the GM (Logistics) for an Indian multinational company dealing in Indian handicraft. He returned to India for family reasons and worked as an independent financial advisor for a number of insurance and asset management companies for 18 years. For his excellence in business output in the life insurance business, he achieved membership of ‘Million Dollar Round Table, USA’ and also qualified in the LUTC Course from the International Academy of Insurance and Financial Management, USA. On the side, he also picked up qualifications and practice in Reiki, Acupressure and molecular Ayurveda.
He enjoys writing stories and likes to share those with others.
