Shyama Joshi, Associate Professor, Translator of the book “Russian Folk Tales”teaching Russian language to beginners in the Department of Modern European and other Foreign languages in the University of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla since 1992. She has published papers in the area of comparative study of Russian and Hindi languages. She has been Associate of the Inter University Centre for humanities and social sciences at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla. Post Doctorate fellowship: Belarus State University Minsk 2001-2003. She has authored the book “Russian-English- Hindi Dictionary of proverbs and idioms” and also co-authored the book “Ruski sa alphabita”
