Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThis is an inspiratory fact of our family. This book highlights the positivity of life. To enrich further the positivity of life, I wish to imbibe the spirit of survival with a poetic line from a poem by Sri Rabindranath Tagore which states, “No one should fear the black cloud in the sky, you all know that there is always the shining Sun behind the cloud.” It is you and only you who is the architect of your own fate. This book is a gift to my grandson, to guide him when he finds himself in tough times.
Biresh Barman Roy
The author, grandson of an undeclared king of a village before the partition of 1947. An ex-soldier of the Indian Air Force, a participant in the 1962 China War, 1965 Pakistan War and 1971 Bangladesh War, retiring in 1975. He joined the central government service, rose to the peak of his career and eventually qualifying for the President’s award (though could not make it through the final selection process) and retired again in 2001. The author lives in Delhi with his family and is a super senior citizen (82+ years) with disease-free health so far. The author is a silent observer of ‘games’ played by ‘nature’ and is a witness of many things, starting from 1943 till 2021 including fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The author tells his grandson, “Master Kian, be a witness and not a judge because judgement is the authority of the 'Almighty’ because it is He who disposes of everything, to Him it does not matter who we are, an author or beggar or priest or politician.” This book written by the author will speak the truth.
