Sanasam Joykumar Singh
Sanasam Joykumar Singh, born on 10th February, 1958, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with honours from D.M. College, Imphal and earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Food Technology and Bio-Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He started working as a journalist from the year 1977 to 1980 in the popular fortnightly Manipuri publication, Phiral. He married Ms. Kaberi Devi in 1987, and they have three daughters and a son together. Joykumar is currently the Deputy Director in the Directorate of Commerce and Industries, Government of Manipur. His generosity and leadership skills in public coordination inspired him to work in different organizations from an early age: President, Kolkata Manipuri Students’ Union, Jt. Secretary, Manipur Sports Club, Canchipur, Founder Secretary, Association of Food Scientists & Technologists (India), Manipur Chapter. At present he is extending honorary services as Secretary, D.M. College Alumni Association, President, Lions Club of Canchipur and President, All Manipur Commerce & Industries Department Officers’ Welfare Association. He aspires to work for humanitarian causes.
He is well-travelled, having visited Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, China, apart from his travels while on duty. His hobbies include reading and practicing yoga. This book is the author’s first publication. Two volumes, one being a novel and the other a collection of poetry, are ready for publication in the near future.
