Born in the year 1959, he is the eldest of the three children born to Smt. Balakumari and Shri. Ranganathan. He is now settled in Hyderabad, where he lives with his wife, Lalitha, who was also into advertising. He has a sister, Radhamani, who lives in Chennai, with her husband and a brother, Sayee Srinivasan, working in Kenya.
He sacrificed his rewarding career to pursue his passion for creative writing – Meet R. Balasubramaniam Iyer – known to all his friends, acquaintances, colleagues and business associates as Bala. He is a graduate of Punjabi University, Patiala.
Over two Decades in the field of Advertising and Public Relations, Bala dabbled with success in all the available media – print, radio, television, corporate films, telecom and internet. Bala is the man to go to for conceptualizing or strategizing.
He has dabbled in English and Hindi theatre and has done a couple of blink-and-miss roles in Hindi and Telugu films.
