The Summer I Learnt To See My Experiences of Teaching the Visually Impaired

Author Name: Ajinkya Potdar | Format: Paperback | Genre : Literature & Fiction | Other Details

Blinded by worldly pleasures—fast cars, lavish lifestyle, star hotels, delectable spreads—Arjun lived the life one would call a ‘dream’ in Mumbai. On an evening drive in his brand new luxury car along with his grandfather, an encounter flips the supposed pleasant evening into a life-changing moment for the twenty-one-year-old. His grandfather wishes that Arjun does something more meaningful with his time and so enrolls the boy to volunteer at a school for the visually impaired. What you read in the pages of this book are pages from the diary he maintained during his stint there. Amidst laughter, amazement, reality checks and surprises, Arjun finds his calling.
