Brigadier (Dr) BPS Khati, VSM, an alumnus of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, was commissioned into 3 Para (1 Kumaon), The Parachute Regiment (Special Forces) in June 1973. A die-hard airborne Special Forces’ maverick, he has served with distinction in every operational theatre the Indian Army has been deployed in. A born seeker who never got colored ‘olive green’, he has an inquisitiveness born out of an urge to take on new challenges, including academic excellence. He is a graduate of the Defense Services Staff College, earning M. Sc. Defense and Strategic Studies from Madras University.
