One day Shyam found a mysterious hidden message in a silver casket in the family almanac. The message written in old style feather dipped in ink read "Who was that stranger?". Now, Shyam's curiosity got the better of him and he set about find an answer to that question. The message seemed as mysterious as old. Shyam tried to get to the bottom of his roots and went deep into his ancestral tree. The message seemed to be written by one of his ancestors. Who was that mystery ancestor who wrote that message and more important what did the message mean?. Shyam got about to the task of finding an answer to the interesting mystery. He discussed with many relatives about the mysterious message but they all seemed to be clueless. On a cue provided by one of his relatives he sought the help of a local historian. The historian after doing the necessary research said the message seemed to be very old going back at least a couple of centuries. The mystery deepened. Now Shyam was by nature a curious and meticulous person and he meticulously set about to the task of delving deep into the mystery of the enigmatic message. With the help of the historian he probed deep into the history of each one of his ancestors. First was his maternal grandfather but the historian told him he was not the mystery person who wrote that message. Now the historian's curiosity also got the better of him and and curious Shyam and the historian determined to get to the bottom of the cryptic and interesting message. Together they did deep research questioning local civil service officers like the district collector, police and others. Now everybody's curiosity and appetite for mystery was whetted and all of them decided that this was a question worth probing. Who was that stranger whom the ancestor was referring to and what was the mystery all about?. All of them took the help of the local museum and went to Shyam's old dilapidated ancestral home in picturesque Konaseema in Andhra Pradesh by train. Set among the coconut trees Shyam's sprawling ancestral home was where all his ancestors stayed in perfect harmony in joint Hindu family style as was the custom in those days. Now it must be said although Kerala has marketed its beauty well Andhra's Konaseema is as beautiful. Now all of them got down to the task of finding an answer to the mysterious message. The historian after carbon dating informed Shyam that the message was 200 years old!. Shyam and everybody's interest deepened in the enigmatic message. The historian told Shyam that the mystery person referred to in the message seemed to be someone who had come to his ancestral home and fell in love with one of his ancestors daughters and the duo married. So, it was a historical love story after all!. Romance was thick in the air!. The historian after carbon dating, DNA testing and gene sequencing informed Shyam that mystery stranger referred to in the enigmatic message was his paternal grandfather who came to his ancestral home and married his grandmother and he was their direct descendant!!. Now Shyam was a bachelor and his grandparents' romance whetted his appetite for romance and he set about to the task of finding the queen of his life. He learnt that one of his friend's daughters Kala was living in his village in picturesque Konaseema. The two fell in love and among the rice fields and coconut trees of Konaseema their romance sprang to life. They married and Shyam brought the girl to his house in Vizag. Over the years a son was born to them and they named their son Ram. Ram went to school and grew up to be a resourceful boy. Later he went to the local college and graduated in Science. Ram and Kala loved their only son deeply and wanted him to be a civil servant and become the Collector of the local district. Since Ram was a bright boy he very easily lived up to their dreams. One day as Ram was returning from office he met the local medical practitioner's daughter Lakshmi. The too fell in love and Ram brought the girl to his house and introduced her as the love of his life to Shyam and Kala. After some hesitation Shyam and Kala agreed to their marriage in the local temple and Ram and Lakshmi married and soon a daughter Gauri was born to them. Now Shyam's family was expanding. Gauri grew up to be a beautiful maiden, the heart throb of all the local boys and Ram and Lakshmi determined to find the perfect suitor for her among several suitors. They married Gauri to a handsome doctor Harsh and Gauri soon gave birth to a set of twins and the entire joint family settled down in picturesque Konaseema and lived happily ever after much as Shyam's grandparents were wont to. So this was what the mystery message in the old book was all about!.
