Here’s how it works:

  • Get Your Prompts: Every month, we release three unique prompts to spark your creativity.

  • Write & Submit: Pick one, two, or all three prompts and submit your short stories (up to one per prompt) before the deadline. Submissions are open for the first 3 weeks of the month.

  • Readers Vote: Readers can read and vote for entries throughout the month until voting closes.

  • Winners Announcement: At the end of the month, The Most Popular Story (based on reader ratings), the Editor’s Pick and Top 3 stories are announced.

  • Come Back Next Month: New prompts, new stories, and another chance to shine!

How do points work?

For every reader rating that the story receives, the writer gains points. If a story gets a 5-star rating, 50 points are added to the story. These points are counted for the Most Popular story.

Each story also gets an editorial rating provided by editors and industry experts in the last week of the contest. These points are considered for the Editor’s Pick.

Top 3 stories are decided by combining the reader and editor ratings.

Can I submit more than one story?

Yes! You can submit one story for each of the three prompts.
