What happened next after happily ever after.

After a typical happily ever after story that was slightly tweaked at the edges in the sense that Joe and his elder brother Mark who were in their mid-20s were still bachelors, Joe set off from Phoenix, Arizona in his family Chevrolet and hit the Los Angeles turnpike. Because it was snowing heavily Joe pulled the hood of the car down and drove carefully. He was going to Colleyville, Texas on the East Coast, a distance of 5,000 miles. After he drove for 500 miles, a woman dressed in coat who introduced herself as Alexa hailed him down and asked for a lift. Because the woman too was going towards the East Coast Joe readily agreed. They hit off a instant romance and it was love at first sight. Amidst joyful banter the two talked excitedly about their younger days right down to their childhood. They traced their respective histories and each's personal life was laid threadbare before the other. And so the journey went on. They passed by the Rocky mountains and the Niagara Falls on the way and reached Mount Rushmore, Colorado. There in the picturesque beauty of the Grand Canyon they took a break to cool off and Joe lit a cigarette and inhaled deeply emitting plumes of smoke. Meanwhile, Joe's brother Mark started off from Alaska in the icy cold in an Amtrack train headed down South towards where Joe was headed, Colleyville for a family reunion. Now Mark was a close confidante of the Alaska Governor Mike Dunlevy and therefore was quite influential in American political circles. Mark had a girlfriend Carrie Symonds and both raced towards Colleyville in the express train. Meanwhile down South Joe and Alexa adjusted their watches to factor in the time difference and continued their journey. After driving the whole night a tired Joe and Alexa arrived in Colleyville. From the North Mark and Carrie too arrived in Colleyville and Joe and Alexa went to receive them in the railway station and the four of them went to Alexa's lovely apartment, settled down and talked late into the night right up to early morning. Then in the wee hours of dawn they went to sleep and awoke at sharp 8 a.m. all of them a refreshed lot. In Alexa's house Joe married Alexa and Mark married Carrie. The years rolled by and soon a son John was born to Joe and Alexa and a lovely daughter Sarah was born to Mark and Carrie. The foursome were now in their mid-40s and the Alaska Governor Mike Dunlevy became the American President and Mark and by implication Joe, Alexa and Carrie became close confidantes of the President. America has always been wary of the Russian bear and soon events proved why for Russia cut off oil and gas supplies passing through the Trans Caucasian Transit Corridor in Uzbekistan to America. The President Mr.Dunlevy declared a trade war on Russia and as a quid pro quo imposed an oil embargo and slammed sanctions on Russia trying to choke supply lines to Russia and paint Russia into a corner. Even the threat of war hung like the proverbial Damocles sword over the two giants. Soon, however, better sense prevailed keeping in view the business interests between the eagle and the bear and things returned to normal. Now John had grown up to be a handsome lad and Sarah a beautiful maiden with many suitors. John joined American politics and became the Montana Governor. He married Gina and Gina became the First Lady of Montana. Now Joe, Alexa, Mark and Carrie were in their 60s. Sarah too married Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and settled down. John's star was on the ascendent and slowly but surely like the proverbial tortoise he rose in American politics to become the American Secretary of State. As Secretary of State he brought rich expertise and remarkable talent to the job honed by decades of experience in American politics and foreign affairs. His parents Joe and Alexa persuaded him to contest the 2025 American presidential election. He did and became the American President. And everybody moved into the White House. So a couple of years passed by. Now John was in the middle of his Presidency. Like former President Reagan he came to be known as the Teflon coated President and became immensely popular among the American people. But unlike Reagan who was a political conservative and a right wing President John was a blue or a liberal Democrat politician. John sent his cousin sister Sarah as the American Ambassador to France. Later John won the Noble Peace Prize for his efforts in settling an ethnic conflict in land locked Eritrea. Sarah too acquired much diplomatic experience and became known for her political acumen and soon came to be known as a tough negotiator with a finesse that was her own. John went down in the annals of history as a great President on lines of the splendid American Abraham Lincoln. Soon his term was over and all of them settled into the lovely and cosy villa that is due to a former American President according to Executive Schedule Level I of the American constitution. And so it was that a story that began with happily ever after ended with happily ever after.
