A.D. 6730.Bang!Crash!Boom!The spacecraft carrying R2D2 and C3PO careened crazily on planet 37852G.
Flashback to the day before…
‘’Comrades ,earth is being targeted by foreign elements and we need to decide on an alternative planet to move on to. A spaceship will take the vulnerable ones first to planet Fe2Bo5.The women and children will be the first to be teleported .Then the aged men. Then the tribunals. Last will be the robots. But beware. This news should not reach the ears of the robots otherwise there will be an uprising ,’’so concluded the wizened one.
If they only knew…because hidden behind the trapdoor were the nosy twosome who managed to always make amess wherever they went…R2D2 and C3PO!
’’C3PO ‘’,continued the tall lanky robot ,’’…we need to call a conference of the robots .This is not good news at all…we can’t afford to be ignored like this at all…’’C3PO mumbled his assent as he shuffled by his side .But what indeed was to be done. The robots were currently at work, on duty so as to speak and their free hour their leisure would be only and only between 1300 hours and 1350 when the humans rested. And the planned teleportation was in an hour’s time …It was currently 1000 hours .Time was of the essence.
R2D2 suddenly had a brainwave …why not text the whole lot via telepathy…The whole lot of robots possessed this skill. This is something the humans had hardwired into their constructs .Alas !The robot had not foreseen something…
And that something was that the brains behind the whole skill were humans and they had software which could predict to the very last ‘’T’’ what the robots would do. So when the lanky robot began transmission the wizened ones were tracking him and on the screen the thoughts flashed like a wave zapping across wildly .
‘’Aha!’’ went the wizened ones who were by the by thought trackers .’’We got you R2D2 and C3PO …you thought you could beat us at our own game but you just have been outplayed .We designed you my little friends and there is no escape …Game over… Game up…’’saying that the Team signaled the guards to arrest the two then temporarily put the two in chains and disable their circuits so they would be able to only move their necks no more no less…
Then the wise ones called a conference .What was to be done with the two rebels without a cause?If they had been successful the whole planet would have seen a uprising by the robots. The punitive action should be such that the two would be made an example for the others. So that no one would ever repeat this act…
Thinking thus a conclusion was reached…
Planet 37852G was not only an uninhabited planet ,it possessed a force field unlike others. Once launched into from the planet of earth the two robots would be unlikely to escape from there. Thinking thus the wizened ones decided it would be the next home away from home for the two harum scarums.
In the meanwhile the guards arrived with the two in tow looking ever so guilty . The numbing effect of the dismembering inject had reached the internal constructs and they were capable of doing little …
The council pronounced their decree and then made their way out of the chamber leaving the two to squirm .’’Ahem C3PO looks like I did a snafu…sorry ole pal…’’C3PO muttered an ineligible lot of digits under his breathe …Very soon the two were seated in the designated spaceship and then they set course for planet 37852B…
The two were a crestfallen .But overall a bit thrilled too .Wasn’t this a bit of an adventure ? Thinking thus the winsome twosome set off wielding the plane . Thing is flying planes was not a part of their constructs .The wizened ones didn’t want the robots to set course from the earth leaving them high and dry. Their work was to have the robots serve in menial ways not gain extra mileage by extending the ways and means of the human brain .Oh no…they were robots once and always and forever and that is how they would stay …But the last thing they would have thought was the two would win over against the odds placed against them.
Yes, they had not predicted the resilience of the robot community…Between the two robots R2D2 was the more human like and once he got into the spaceship began to tinker with his pal’s constructs feeding instructions to deal with further situations .
Anyways in the meanwhile the method of working out the gadgets within the spacecraft would take a while and within a moments time the two landed on the said planet. A bit sad .A bit crestfallen .But with a will and zest to win over anything….
