"I pointed a gun at my loved ones who were dead , demanding to bring the living back , without a moment's pause they reappeared through the echoes of my memory.....But even as they stood before me, returned from the depths of memory, something in me couldn’t stop.
My hand shook, but the trigger was pulled. The sound echoed, and in that moment, everything felt unreal. Tears blurred my vision as I collapsed, overwhelmed by the weight of what I had done. 'I’m sorry... I’ll miss you... a lot.'
A suffocating silence followed, and the terror of losing them forever crept in. But why had I done it? Why did I feel this unbearable loneliness? What happened to me... to us?"
Liora Vexis is a seventeen-year-old with a unique look and personality. Standing at 5'4", she has short brown hair and striking blue-hazel eyes. Her fair, toned skin is dotted with freckles across her cheeks, adding to her charm.
She usually dresses casually, favoring cargo pants and short-sleeve tops. On the outside, she seems cheerful and easy to talk to, but there's an air of mystery about her.
Liora has a deep, reflective side, with thoughts that are far darker and more complex than most people realize.
Liora Vexis lives with her family of four in an apartment. Her mother, Eleanor Vexis, is a chemist, while her father, Henry Vexis, works for a cyber company. Liora's older brother, Xyphor Vexis, towers at 6'2" with a striking presence—his dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes only adding to his handsome appearance. Four years her senior, he is currently pursuing mastery in physics, driven by an insatiable curiosity for the universe's mysteries. Liora has a very deep connection with her mother although It seems that her father, Henry Vexis, doesn't support her dream of becoming a scientist. Liora does not share a close bond with her brother. When she was ten, they had an intense fight, and since then, they have stopped talking. Although Liora still wants to reconnect with him, she fears that trying to do so might make things worse. She also blames herself for what happened.
At present ....
Liora goes to Sterling Gate High, one of the most well-known and academically challenging schools in Astralis Haven. The school has a strong reputation for its rigorous curriculum, advanced facilities, and competitive atmosphere. Students here are expected to excel, and many go on to prestigious universities or careers in various fields.
While Sterling Gate offers plenty of opportunities, it also comes with high expectations. Liora, despite the pressure from both the school and her father, is determined to follow her passion for science, even if the path isn’t easy.
"Morning, Max! Hey, Theo!" Liora greeted with a smile.
"Hey, Lio! How’ve you been? It’s been so long!" Theo said excitedly.
Maxon grinned. "Whoa, you’re looking even more gorgeous after the break! Did you work out during the holidays?"
Maxon and Theo Gray, twin brothers with playful personalities, stood before her. Both had striking black hair and warm brown eyes, their usual skater-boy attire adding to their effortlessly cool look.
"I’m doing just fine. It really has been a long time,"
Liora said with a smile. Then, glancing at Maxon, she added with a slight blush, "And Max, stop with your teasing! But yeah, I did work out a little."
"Oh, and let’s wait a bit for Vol and Aurora. They should be here soon," Liora added, glancing around expectantly.
"Alrighty!!" Theo and Max chimed in together, both excited to catch up.
"There she is! Hey, Vol, we’re here!" Theo called out, spotting Volmora nearby. Max and Liora waved enthusiastically alongside him, hoping to catch her attention.
Volmora spotted them and made her way over, offering her usual calm and simple smile, not overly excited but still warm and friendly.
"Hey guys good to see you again the holidays were boring" said Volmora
"Borrringgg indeed," Theo agreed, nodding in sync with Volmora, his playful tone matching her calm demeanor.
"Hey, Vol, good to see you too! Where’s Aurora? She said she’d come with you," Liora asked, looking around for her friend.
"Oh, she went to drop her sister off at class," Volmora explained. "She said she'd catch up with us during class, so we should probably get moving."
As they walked down the hallway towards their class, they continued chatting, the sound of their laughter and conversation filling the air. Max chuckled, "Classic Aurora."
Liora smiled, enjoying the easy conversation as they made their way to class.
Volmora Lee, a blend of Korean and British heritage, has long hazel-colored hair and dark brown doe-like eyes. She often dresses in cute, stylish dresses, radiating a calm and graceful vibe.
As Liora, Theo, Max, and Volmora entered the classroom, they immediately spotted Aurora sitting alone at her desk. Her expression remained blank, her eyes briefly flickering toward them before settling back into her usual emotionless gaze.
Theo, familiar with her ways, simply gave her a slight nod, while the others exchanged glances before making their way over to their seats. Aurora, as always, kept to herself, showing no outward reaction to their arrival.
Aurora is a strong-willed yet reserved girl carrying a heavy burden. Her father resents her sister for their mother’s death, and Aurora, rejecting this blame, faces his hatred too. Emotionless and distant, she rarely shows excitement, but Theo understands her
struggles. Despite everything, she stays loyal to her friends and protects her sister.
With a brooding, emo-like presence, Aurora has jet-black hair, stormy gray eyes, and a preference for dark, layered clothing. She appears cold and detached, but beneath lies a caring soul weighed down by the past. Music is her escape, and only Theo truly understands her silent pain.
This is my squad—the ones I trust more than anyone else in this world. Theo, Maxon, Volmora, and Aurora. They're not just my friends; they’re the people I choose to be with, the ones who make life bearable beyond my not-so-loving family. With them, I can be myself, no masks, no pretending—just us, facing the world together.
