From the beginning of life, new relationships, new feelings shake the mind and go away. We don't know when someone becomes our own and when someone becomes a stranger, this is felt only with time. Someone may not be our own even after living with us and someone is the best even after not being our own. In the ups and downs of life, some feelings remain incomplete. But when some feelings are revived, then a different kind of joy is experienced.

Her name was Pushpa. She studied with me in college. A very beautiful, sensitive and simple girl. I could not help but be impressed by her personality in our first meeting itself. It was my heartfelt desire to become friends with her in college. But at that time my nature was also a bit shy. I could not take the initiative. After some time, one day such an opportunity came which laid the foundation of our friendship. I remember that day after noon, for some reason, there was a strike in the city and all means of transport stopped. Pushpa was confused. After the college was over, she had to go home. She was waiting for a lift outside the college campus. Just then I came out with my bike. Pushpa signaled me with her hand and I stopped my bike near her. Jai, I am not getting any transport today, so can you drop me home? Yes, yes, why not. Come sit. I made Pushpa sit on my bike. On the way, we did not talk except for knowing her home address. That day, for the first time, I went to her house with her. After reaching home, despite my refusal, she insisted on stopping me to have tea. I got introduced to the family members. For the first time, I talked to her for about an hour. After having tea and breakfast, I left from there. My heart was elated today. If you start liking someone and your story moves forward, then such a moment only gives happiness. I was experiencing something like this.

The next day was an unforgettable day of my life. I reached college early and was standing in the campus waiting for Pushpa. Just then she was seen coming. Seeing me she smiled and then said why are you standing here? Are you waiting for someone? For you. Suddenly it came out of my mouth. Waiting for me! Why? Now that the topic had come out I said to her Pushpa can we be friends? She replied back why do you want to be friends? I was not expecting such an answer. My face turned pale. Looking at me for a few moments she laughed. Hey, fool. I too have been wanting to be friends with you for a long time but you are a complete coward. Come on, from today we both are friends. My desired wish had been fulfilled. My heart was filled with happiness. Now most of our time was being spent with each other. We were being discussed in college. Our friendship was probably knocking at the door of something new. Even our families had sensed the direction of the wind. The only difference was that we were still moving around the same friendship. Our friendship with purity. College got over. I had a dream of making a career. I wanted to do business, so I got lost in it. Pushpa had also joined a job. Our meetings had reduced.

Both of us had never expressed our love for each other, but both our families thought that we loved each other. One day I had gone out on a tour in connection with my business. My father reached Pushpa's office for some work. On meeting Pushpa there, he proposed our marriage. Pushpa had also probably started loving me. She agreed and gave him her home address. And invited him to come home. When I came back, I did not like this approach. I don't know how I took such a wrong step. Maybe I was not mentally prepared for it. I told Pushpa to not consider me more than a friend and also told my father that I will not marry her. After this incident, Pushpa did not keep in touch with me. She was very hurt by my decision. Here, I had no news except my business. I had forgotten everything. After a long gap, about seven years, I suddenly had to go to a nearby city for marketing. As soon as I left after finishing my work, my eyes fell on a nearby office. That was a strange moment. Our eyes met at the same time. For a moment, my feet stopped at that place. In front of me, after years, Pushpa's eyes seemed to be asking me whether all that was not love in reality? Does love express itself only through words? Now I could not stop myself, my steps automatically moved towards Pushpa. As soon as she stepped into my office, she did not talk or ask any new questions. She told me - Jai, I am married and I have a son. In reply I said that I am also married and I also have a daughter. Sit down, I will order tea. No Pushpa, I am in a hurry right now. We will meet later. I could not stop there. The pain in those words of Pushpa hurt me deeply. After all, today I also realize that it was love, which I could not appreciate. Yes, it is true that I also loved her.
Along with love, I had lost my dear friend too. I often started feeling guilty. It is only when we are away that we realise the loss that what we were supposed to get in life, our ignorance has taken it far away.

God perhaps sensed my repentance. Just a few days ago, we met again at a wedding. She had come with her husband. She introduced me to her husband as a friend. Now all the old grudges are getting resolved. My friend has perhaps returned. The only loss is that the years spent without his friendship cannot be compensated. Getting back the old and deep friendship was also a big achievement for me.
