Towards A New Hope

"Where am I! " I exclaimed finding out myself standing somewhere.It wasn't green grass or brown soil,but it was something different.I couldn't understand what was happening.

As I turned behind,I saw a large space ship behind me.I soon understood that I was standing on a different planet.It was very dark there but still I could see darkness residing till the horizon.The beauty of the space was completely visible fron their.The moons,nebula,and..............A blue sun!

"What is this place?How did I came up here? Who owns this ship? " I was already very tensed while adding more pain to it,I saw my body wasn't like before,it was instead,made up of metal just like a mechanical body!I felt like I had just woke up from a long,very long sleep. maybe, centuries long!

Suddenly,my eyes fell on my left,synthetic arm consisting a type of device which kinda seemed to tell the time.I tried to check what was the year and my blood ran cold to see that the year I was standing in was...........3104!

But,last time when I was awake,I was lying on my cozy sofa couch and the year was 2022.I was watching my favourite show on TV while the doorbell rang.I stood up to check who was their.I walked towards the door............

500 YEARS AGO:

"How is this possible!" exclaimed Daneel,finding out maybe the last cryo-pod remaining from the 21st century from a remanant of a LIFE EXTENSION FOUNDATION.All the people who were once cryo-preserved in the 21st century were meant to be brought back to life but,due to global warming and uneven meteorite showers,all the LIFE EXTENSION FOUNDATIONS which once stood upright on the land,were devasted.

Daneel was very shocked to see that a last cryo-preserved brain was saved.And luckily,they had the technology to transfer the memories and identity of the brain to a synthetic body.

He took it and leaved from the remanant while he got a call from someone. "Sir Daneel,more than the half of the Earth's population has got infected from the new emerging 'Alason Virus'.It is spreading faster than fire and even all the medical facilities of the world has given up declaring it to be the end of Earth.Therefore after the meeting of the world council,the final decision taken is that to use all of our techonologies to get going to a new habitable planet,so you need to come fast to take further decision."

"OK! I'm coming,till then start gathering all the healthy people around the world.We need to have a look." he replied and took out a cuboidal shaped device which opened a door like portal in front of him,and he went inside.

The portal opened up in a very large research facility which was the largest SPACE RESEARCH AGENCY of that time.Daneel was the Director of the facility.As soon as he came out of the portal,a few people gathered around him.They were his assistants.They all informed him about the situation which was getting worse and worse with time.

"Sir,almost 70% of the population of the Earth has got caught with the virus and still spreading.We have gathered almost half of the healthy population.Now we need to start getting our ship ready to take off from this planet." said one of his assistants."OK,we will do it." he said and walked in front of a very big screen.

Soon he was accompanied by his assistant who started the screen and began to tell him briefly about the crisis.Suddenly,a chair appeared behind Daneel and he sat down and the man began,"So, 2 months ago,a new virus was discovered in the city of Mumbai and was named as 'Alason Virus'.All the people who were caught from it,started to decay into nothing and all the decaying particles of the patient vapourised in the air which caused several people around the patient to occur with the same virus.

And,thats the reason that today 70% of the human population is almost dead.All the symptoms of the virus occur within an hour the person gets caught by the virus.Hence,we are informed to quickly leave this planet because no technology has been able to cure this." finished his assistant.

Soon,another man came and informed that their ship is ready and they have also gathered the healthy people.Now they just needed his order.Then,he ordered to quickly transport all the people inside the ship along with many of medical and research equipments.He went to check for some important things they needed.for their and that was going to be the biggest operation in human history.

After around an hour,everything was set up and all the 30% remaining population of Earth was filled up in the ship.The ship was as big as a country and had all the things they needed.Now,they just needed to take off from the planet giving it a last goodbye.They had many options but they selected the planet X40G961 because it was the most suitable,habitable planet with some extra-ordinary biolgical elements.It was going to take them totally 500 years to travel to that planet but thanks to their advanced technology that could keep them in a long cryo-sleep and wake them up directly after 500 years.

All the research scientists had to work in shifts for the maintenence of the ship.Once they reached thier destination,all the people will wake up and ready to start a new life on a new planet.Maybe that was the only destiny.

400 YEARS LATER:

Now,only a century was remaining for them to reach their new home planet.It was Daneel's shift to work while he was pondering over the history of the last remaining cryo-preserved man.He was a biologist and a quite wealthy man.One day,when he was watching TV at his home,he got a heart attack and was reported dead.But,because he was worthy and intelligent,his family and co-workers cryo-preserved him.Daneel decided to bring him back to life by transferring his memories to a new,synthetic body.

He started the process while suddenly,they found that their ship was going to go through a space storm which had occured by a super-nova which occured a few light years away.They didn't had any other option so,decided to go through.

As soon as they entered in it,chaos started.Nothing was going properly.The ship started damaging from many sides.The situation was getting worse while the crew along with Daneel were trying to deal with it.Slowly,everyone in the ship started to wake up from their cryo-sleep.Suddenly,the main engine of the ship broke and could be only fixed by going out which wasn't a good idea in that situation.

They had to do something or else everyone would have died.Daneel was thinking of a solution while his fellow worker,Robert, decided to risk his life."Are you sure you're going to do it?" they asked him. "We don't have any other option.We will have to do something or everyone will die." he said.

So,they decided and risking his life,Robert got out of the ship and started to repair the engine.Luckily,he finished his work in 10 minutes but,the storm got strong enough to get him out.The storm pushed Robert away from the ship while others inside could just see everything happen.Till that time,all the people inside had woke up.Sadly,Robert was driften away in the storm but the crew didn't had time so they had to give up his life.

They fastened the ship and finally escaped the storm.Everyone was feeling safe but maybe their fate didn't liked it.It was found out that a person in the ship was a victim of the Alason Virus.Now,they knew that there was no chance that they would survive.Daneel thought that he didn't had any chance to regret.

While everyone was running back and forth,Daneel,holding his tears went up where he had kept the synthetic body and brain of the last man,named Max.He knew that nor he or any other person could have survived but,since Max had a synthetic body,he will not get infected by the virus so he programmed him so that he will wake up when the ship will reach the planet and hoped that he will create a new life,a new civilisation bye the extra ordinary elements of the planet. .

He completed his programming and went to see the situation but,nothing was remaining.Only the decayed bodiies while he suddenlt felt something and saw that he too,was getting decayed..........

100 YEARS LATER:

Max,in his new body got to knew about the past and his destiny by a electronic message he found out in the ship as he discovered through.Now he knew what he had to do but,how, he didn't knew.

He walked a bit away of the ship while suddenly heard the sound of someone behind him,"Max!Thank god I found you!" exclaimed the man. "Who are you.How do you know me?"

"I hope you have also read the same message which I read.The message from Daneel.I am Robert,I had survived throught the storm and fortunately,somehow reached here.It was the destiny.And,Its 100 years I'm here researching about the elements and discovered that we can create new life here."

"So,can we do it?" Max asked."Yes,we need to start a new life.A new journey.A hope still relies within here."he replied.

And they both walked off,towards a new hope.
