But today, on a cold wintry day, the 26 December 2066, there is news you don’t want to hear. One of these Earth annihilating size asteroids has strayed.

And it is now in the space zone directly aimed at Earth.

The moment of an impending asteroid strike has brought the world together.

The Space - Force of The United States of America, Russia, and China side by side, for once. The Space - Force of the 3 greatest nations ever.

The Machette asteroid is half a mile wide. The last time an asteroid pummeled us, the dinosaurs became extinct.

No wonder, there is eerie silence across the globe.

The journo however, is asking queries. “Why is this asteroid strike an emergency? Why wasn’t it tracked earlier? ”

Just out of college Paula could not hold back either. “Is there a joint space effort? I can’t see it…”

‘I mean remove your dark goggles lady…’

The Space Force Commander is grim. “We need a quick reaction time. Machete changed course midway. We cannot rule out the possibility of alien trick.”

From Octagon, the World Space Force Center, SF Chief Commander John Dewy orders Space Force 1 on standby.

Jigo: Sail equipped Luvin spacecraft propelled by photonic laser thrusters. Photons have stored energy which transition to push when they hit the sail. They can achieve upto 25% the speed of light.

Activate Laser. Fire Laser.

The laser tipped spacecraft 8.0 sprayed Machette, ripping it into pieces.

Commander: Objective Achieved: Machete Decimated.

Machete dust trails into the deep darkness of space.

There were cheers across the globe and for a brief period in time there were no enemies on Earth.

The Luvin spacecraft speeds away into the ether regions for its journey back to Octagon.

Jigo: We can take care of asteroid strikes.
