JUNE 10th - JULY 10th
Unfortunately for Daniel: it was the day of the football trial match. Daniel did really well at it but he wasn’t joyful, instead his face turned as irritating as a rash. It got completely scarlet and he sneered at the football coach as if he would just pounce on him like an enraged pompous lion. But as it was destined to happen, he would get an apprenticeship, but he had to leave his school and live away from home. Just after listening to the conversation between his dad and the coach, Daniel ran away from there - upset. He didn’t want to leave home or pursue a football career.
His father reached the park which was Danny’s (his pet-name) consolation place. Sitting lonely on the pitch-black white spotted bench: disconsolate, lowering his eyes to the ground, tears rolled down his cheeks and out of the blue, a husky voice spoke…
“Danny, why don’t you understand me? Can’t you be a football player just for my sake? You play so well, you like playing football, everything’s fine, you’re getting a good response from the coach, then what’s the problem: I don’t understand it.”
“Ugh! I don’t want to argue with you dad. It’s your problem that you can’t make it up to your mind; and I don’t think you will ever be satisfied. And I just and just and just like playing football, I don’t love it and it’s not my passion at all. What’s the problem if I wish to become a scientist?” Daniel yelled harshly at his dad, not expecting a bit from him.
They both fought for a long time. And Daniel reached to his last and highest point of bearing his father. His father slapped him in a fit of rage and he warned his father that he would leave home, to which his father reacted furiously,
“I don’t care! I feel a shame of having such an ill-mannered and rude child. Just get lost. And if you don’t want to stay with me, please do not because neither am I interested in living with you in the same house.”
Poor thing! Not wanting to leave his home, he had to. He disagreed with his father to the utmost and felt that his father disrespected his feelings and found his dream as garbage or of no use.
Isolated from the heart, he sprinted across the pathway, wiping his tears. His eyes turned completely scarlet and let down.
On the other hand, his dad reached home vexed. He opened the door, entered inside and slammed it shut, harshly. Judith – Daniel’s mom perceived this and realised that Daniel was not home yet with his dad and so questioned him as if she knew that the two had a huge fight.
“Where is Danny? What did you do to him? I hope you didn’t throw him away from home and resented him from coming back. See if this is the case, I’m getting him back, and you are not his father anymore. I won’t keep him with you. I hate you. Go away and get my child back.” She snarled and retorted at him.
“Yes, so what? He didn’t deserve to live in such a luxurious house as he is no worth it. He does not have the right to choose his career and should be following mine as I am his father. Does he even care about my feelings that I should care about his feelings? If you want to leave even you can, but I dare you get him back to my house! And if you did then you know what I will do…” He ordered stridently.
Judith couldn’t handle this and thus even she stepped out of the house, slamming the door hard. Surprisingly, Daniel’s dad really didn’t care at all and he flumped on to the sofa, pushing the cushion surface deep inside, as he enjoyed watching his favourite TV shows. This was really fishy.
Judith peeped from the translucent window trying to find out if Daniel’s dad was worried or gratified. She understood that something was fishy and peculiar: it wasn’t right. Her husband wasn’t so rude and mean. There was something wrong.
At the same time, Daniel leaned onto the tree, as it rained thunderously, the rain infuriated at him, the weather not by his side and he was a dead leaf not responding to the weather.
Suddenly, some unknown peculiar figures as if they seemed to be aliens, or maybe they were aliens really, stepped out from the only illuminated spaceship in the deadly lifeless area. Daniel didn’t notice this and just then…
Bang!
Daniel fainted unconscious.
