At the time of publishing this book, he is pursuing his Master's in Lifestyle Accessory Design from the prestigious National Institute of Design, Gandhinagar (Gujarat, India)- a premier design school in the world. He finds joy in sharing his knowledge and learnings. His works span from self-initiated miniature origami projects to large-scale commercial projects, and fun workshops with young minds to corporate team-building sessions.
His parents Suryanarayana S and Veena S played a major role in introducing him to the art form at an early age. Over the years, his passion for tackling complex challenges through origami only grew. Nikhil's experiments range from single sheet complex origami, modular origami to elaborate paper cutting in 2D and 3D. He appreciates how origami perfectly infuses design, art, mathematics, and many more concepts into a beautiful concoction.
While the art form looks beautiful, he appreciates how it also improves the artist's imagination skills, spatial awareness, logical reasoning, attention, patience, mental health, and more. He finds origami meditative and can easily spend hours folding away.
He posts his work regularly on his website and social media handles (@Niksorigami on all major platforms). To know more about the author, his achievements, features and collaborations, visit www

”Nikhil has taken just one idea for a modular origami star and developed it into an understanding of and process for creating more new models than one can imagine. To reveal new possibilities is a wonder, but his stimulating guidance for creativity by the readers is a remarkable gift for our paper folding community. Nikhil’s book is spectacular. Enjoy it.” -Robert E. Neale
