The author, Chinmaya Kumar  Das, was born on January  1st, 1966, into a middle-class family in Puri, the abode of Lord  Jagannath in Odisha.  He is a banker by profession. He holds a doctorate in management. After retirement, he is presently involved in academic administration, training and development activities at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.
His research and study areas include training, HRD, development issues and governance systems. He has also a penchant to delve deep into the lives of distressed people and try to find solutions. He is a bachelor and loves giving care to his octogenarian parents.
The author believes that it is extremely important to live our lives consciously and have a never say die approach. Life is too short to be neglected. We live life only once. From our childhood, we are normally taught to follow a Role model. But God has made everybody unique and we can never become a clone of others. Instead of adopting ideals, if we follow the golden rules of life, it becomes a lot easier to lead a happy and contented king-sized life. It is worth a million dollars.
