Molly Naidu Webster was born in South Africa, of third and fourth generation parents. Her ancestors came from the Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Growing up in South Africa, she followed a western culture and enjoyed the music of the sixties. She went to India for the very first time in February 2020 for a solo tour of the south. Sadly, it was a short reunion, Renuka at nearly ninety, died two months after meeting her daughter, before her she died, she confided in her daughter about letters she had written, about her life, and to only read it after her demise.
