Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalDust on the swings narrates the story of a common girl thrust into the spotlight of the film industry. But there’s more behind the camera, make-up, glamour and honor. The story of Shanaya Raichand’s life portrays the various colors and layers of the modern society. It shows the darkest sides of people and society. Ego, self-dignity and self-respect have ruined our society and her story is a question to the modern world, where technology makes people take a step forward but their steel-hearted emotions make them take two steps back. But out of all this, the novel brings out the beautiful colors of life experienced in youth, especially teenage, when hearts are full of storms of emotions and love and friends are another reason for life.

Sarthak Paliwal, born on 10 July, 2001, studies in Bhawan's Mehta Vidyalaya, New Delhi. He has been writing since childhood. He was always appreciated and encouraged by his family and teachers as well as his friends. He speaks of his work as a product of visiting new places and meeting new people. Knowing new people and their lives gave him characters for his novel. He has always had the habit of analyzing and observing society and culture and then, reflecting them in his works.
Since childhood, he had the habit of reading books, especially those by Ruskin Bond, Rabindernath Tagore, R.K. Narayan and other Indian English authors. He makes time for playing guitar, sketching and cycling as well. Now, in his teens, he is full of ideas about his group and tends to reflect them in his writing. This novel, Dust on the Swings, is his first book but he hopes to present more to his readers in the future.
