BIBLE METEOROLOGY What the Bible says about weather and climate

Author Name: DR RANJAN KELKAR | Format: Paperback | Genre : Educational & Professional | Other Details

The Bible has hundreds of references to weather and climate parameters like clouds, winds, rain, hail, thunder and lightning. They are mentioned in the physical sense as well as the allegorical. Like dew, which is the formation of water droplets on a cold surface, may be symbolic of God’s tender mercies. The whiteness of snow could be considered as a standard for purity. Lightning may resemble a display of divine power. The rainbow is an optical phenomenon but it is also a sign that there will be floods no more. Lord Jesus himself gave the analogy of the wind while describing what the spirit can do. This book attempts to draw a connection between the two perspectives. It explains the meteorological processes in a simple manner and then goes into their possible deeper interpretations.
