Caste is the foundation for everything that happens in India. Given the large global footprint of Indians, it is a worthwhile endeavor to understand this foundational idea that shapes the Indian mindset and society. Wherever Indians go, they take the caste system along with them. Understanding the caste system allows one to have more productive interactions with Indians in several contexts – professional, social, business, diplomacy, military, trade and international relations.

Vamsi T Mohun is Founder and Analyst at IFIT Research Forum since early 2019.
