Vintaj Vase Jr. is not just the average rich, white man's son. He's a famous boxer - a true, people's champ. Living up to his reputation he takes his chances to help the black oppressed community of Roseland, in south of Chicago. His gutsy heroics earn him the title of 'Prince of Michigan Avenue'.
In the colorful town of Roseland he ends up falling in love, as he meets an affable Irish-American girl of Japanese descent. But when in 1941 the Japanese bombard Pearl Harbor, he gets drafted and sent to the Japanese island of Okinawa. Tragically he dies in action, only to awaken in the heavenly council of God! It's his time to learn the ultimate truth about choices he made in his life. But how could he have imagined that one of those choices could have stopped the pacific war altogether!
