Edmond Rostand

Edmond Eugène Alexis Rostand (1 April 1868 – 2 December 1918), simply known as Edmond Rostand, was a French poet and dramatist. He is known for his romantic plays that were out of the ordinary in comparison with the popular theatre works of his time. He is best known for his play Cyrano de Bergerac. His work, Les Romanesques, was adapted to the musical comedy The Fantasticks.
